Recently, Makeblock welcomed the visit of Jean-Philippe Courtois, EVP and president of Microsoft Global Sales, Marketing and Operations. Makeblock founder and CEO Jasen Wang shared the STEAM education solution and industry insights with him to further discuss innovative possibilities in the future. As the STEAM education solution provider, Makeblock takes use of Azure Kubernetes Service to build up a microservice system to promote user growth.
In early 2017, Makeblock has reached an agreement of a strategic partnership with Microsoft, including technology, talents, etc. mBot, as one of the star products of Makeblock, has included one of the leading cloud technology platform——Microsoft Azure Cognitive Service—— in its mBlock graphic programming software. This enables even younger kids to learn advanced AI and LOT knowledge through applications and games.
Makeblock, since establishment, has successfully achieved the transformation from a maker role to STEAM education solution provider as well as a product company that has entered the mass market. So far, Makeblock covers the educational products’ needs in kindergarten, primary school, middle and high school. Meanwhile, Makeblock insists to serve both business and customer end to support multiple application scenarios.
During the meeting with Microsoft, Makeblock is expecting to further promote the partnership and its products are scheduled to enter Microsoft’s global sales network and flagship store. Through the Microsoft AI cloud technology platform, students will be able to get closer to advanced technology, such as facial recognition, and well equipped for the upcoming AI age.
