2018 MakeX Robotics Competition Season Hosted Successfully in New Zealand

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, July 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — MakeX, the international robotics competition for teenagers co-organized by Makeblock, partnered with PB Technogies Ltd and Bitwiz, one of the largest STEAM coding academies in New Zealand, to successfully host New Zealand qualification trials at the Gladstone Primary School in Auckland. Over 100 students in 58 teams convened together to put their expertise and experience in the challenges. 6 Teams took the top honor at the competition and won the chance to participate the MakeX Robotic Competition in the 2018 World Robot Contest (WRC) from July 26 to 29 in Wuhan, China. STEAM Coding Contest – MakeX
MakeX is an international robotics competition platform that engages students at different ages in robotics challenges that helps to build their interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM). With the commitment to empower students with problem solving skills, MakeX aims to improve education by promoting the deep integration of science, technology, and creativity through activities including the Robot Challenge, the Maker Marathon and the STEAM Carnival.

The 2018 MakeX Robotics Competition season started in May and is going to conduct international rounds in countries and regions like France, Estonia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Mainland China. MakeX is free and open to the public. Eventually, 350 teams will be selected to compete in Shenzhen, China for the MakeX Global Finals. Trophies and a series of prizes totaling $80,000 will be awarded to the winners this year.
