On May 18 of 2016, the Washington Post held the TRANSFORMERS event, where a robotics competition named “RoPorter” featuring Makeblock as the exclusive sponsor took place to promote STEM education.   Students teamed up and worked on the robots with Makeblock’s Ultimate Robot Kit 2.0 mechanical parts and electronic modules as well as software. There was a live audience of 300 policymakers from Capitol Hill and the White House, business executives, tech entrepreneurs and members of the media. Jeff Bezos, as the CEO of Amazon and the Washington Post, judged the competition by the robots’ abilities to gather information within the pre-defined scenario. Bezos announced the winning team and awarded them with Makeblock’s robot kits.
